Ukrainian egg decorating offered

STEPHENSON — The Menominee County Library will offer a Ukrainian egg decorating workshop March 21 from 1 to 3 p.m.

This workshop is free but registration is requested to ensure adequate supplies. Blown eggs will be decorated using a wax-resist dye process from Eastern Europe (Ukraine region). For centuries decorated eggs were shared with family and friends to promote good wishes at Easter and to welcome spring.

All supplies and equipment will be provided. This class is not recommended for young children due to use of candles and hot wax. Anyone younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information or to register for this workshop, people may contact the Menominee County Library 906-753-6923.
