Fishing group held fundraiser

MENOMINEE — The Menominee High School fishing team held its annual fish fry Monday. The club served about 200 family and friends from the community.

Non-denominational grief program offered

MENOMINEE — "A Journey Through Grief," a non-denominational support group presented to people on behalf of UP Health System Hospice, will be held at the Harbors Retirement Community, 1110th Ave., Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

It will provide educational materials and guide discussions on a variety of topics to assist those in the grieving process. “A Journey Through Grief” is offered the last Thursday of every month.

The group will be facilitated by Lewis Hague, UP Health System Hospice bereavement coordinator and coordinated by Gayle DeShambo account executive for UP Health System Hospice.

This support group is open to anyone in the community who is grieving the loss of a loved one.

Church women selling homemade lasagna

MARINETTE — St. Paul's Episcopal Church Women are selling a homemade lasagna dinner for Valentine's Day. Dinner for four includes a ready-to-bake lasagna, salad, bread and dessert for $25.

Reservations should be made by Feb. 7 by calling the church office at 715-735-3719 or Gail at 715-735-9441. Payment should be made in advance and can be mailed to the church office at 917 Church St., Marinette, WI 54143.

Dinners can be picked up Feb. 14 between 3 and 6 p.m. at the church. Dinners may also be purchased and donated to Rainbow House, Haven of Hope and the Abundant Life Mission. Delivery of donated dinners will be taken care of by church members.
