Nail clinic offered at senior center

MENOMINEE — The Menominee High School Nursing Students will be at the Menominee Senior Center, 905 10th St., Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. They can trim fingernails and toenails. If attendees bring their own polish, the students will paint them, too. This event is free but registration is required. People may call the center at 906-863-2158 to schedule a visit.

There will also be a Craft & Bingo Day at the senior center Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Menominee Recreation Department. No registration required and there is no cost for this event. All are welcome to attend.

Children's theatre audition dates set

MARINETTE — UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus, Office of Continuing Education announced open auditions for children ages 6 to 17 for the upcoming performance of Anne of Green Gables. Auditions will be held today from 5 to 7 p.m. in room T-133 of the Theatre Building on the campus. Those auditioning for a role must prepare a monologue; which does not have to be memorized, and be prepared to do some cold readings from the script. Cast will be chosen from those that audition and rehearsals will begin in January. People may sign up for auditions by visiting bit.ly/anne-gables.

Performance dates for the upcoming show will be Feb. 7-9 and Feb. 14-16, 2020 and will be held in the Herbert L. Williams Theatre on the campus. The show’s director is Brittany Welch.
