Church to host vendor, craft show

COLEMAN — The annual craft and vendor sale SHINE Christmas Bazaar will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Anne Parish, 228 E. Main St.

There will be over 20 vendors and crafters with things for sale such as homemade apple pies, chicken booyah and more. Attendees may visit with Santa from 11 to 1.

All proceeds will help the Feed My Sheep Food Pantry and 20 area youth attend SHINE (Serving Him in The Needy & Elderly) Catholic Work Camp in Denver, Colo. next summer.

Local singer to perform at church

PESHTIGO — The Grover Community Church, N2477 Church Road, will host singer/songwriter Abigail Nygren Sunday at 6 p.m. Nygren has performed at many local venues and in many other places such as Australia, Thailand and Norway. She is an active member of her church and an active member of her church's worship team. Nygren is currently in the process of recording several songs for debut EP to be released in early 2020. 

Admission is free for the concert.

Caregivers support group offered

PESHTIGO/MENOMINEE — The Care & Share Alzheimer's Support Group is gathering for caregivers of loved ones with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. The group offers an opportunity for caregivers to share experiences, discuss concerns and learn about available resources in the area. There are two locations, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The group meets every Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. at Faith Church, 350 N Stephenson Ave., Peshtigo; the afternoon group meets Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2901 13 St., Menominee.

There will be no meetings at either location Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 because of the holidays.

Faith rally held at lutheran church

MARINETTE — Women of the North Wisconsin District Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Zone 13/14 held their Fall Rally at Faith Lutheran Church Oct. 19.

Sue Ladwig presented the Christian Life Topic “It Matters What We Believe.” The Rev. Andy Weden, from Peace Lutheran Campus Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, was the guest speaker. Peace Campus Center is a ministry of the North Wisconsin District LCMS. Gifts of the Heart were collected for Peace Lutheran Campus Center. An invitation to the LWML Zone 13/14 2020 Spring Rally was issued by Tabor Lutheran Church, Mountain.
