'Voices of Peace' to perform

MARINETTE — Voices of Peace, a gospel music band from Hilbert Wis., will perform Sunday at Pioneer Presbyterian Church, 1947 Riverside Ave.

Panel on vaping, other drugs offered

MARINETTE — The Communities That Care of Marinette and Menominee Counties and the Healthy Youth Coalition of Marinette and Menominee Counties will hold a panel “Let’s Talk – Vaping and other Gateway Drugs” Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the UWGB-Marinette Campus theatre building, 750 W Bay Shore Drive.

All community members are invited to attend the panel. This event will feature keynote, motivational speaker, Robb Holladay as well as a panel discussion. Holladay is a retired specialist in medical imaging. Panelists will include a school nurse, law enforcement, HYC youth members, a parent, healthcare professionals, tobacco coalition coordinator and more.

Give-A-Kid-A-Book program to be held

MENOMINEE  — Spies Public Library, 940 1st St., will hold its annual Give-A-Kid-A-Book program. The Spies Public Library is working with the Menominee County Department of Human Services to provide the children in Menominee County with a book over the holidays.

People can donate new or gently used children’s books until Dec. 4. They can be hardcover or paperback. They must be unwrapped so they can be matched up with children in Menominee County who need them most. Monetary donations are also accepted and new books would then be purchased. Books will be collected at the Spies Public Library. For further information, people may call the library at 906-863-2900.
