Red Hat Society to meet Sept. 18

MARINETTE — Majestic Rubies and Roses Red Hat Society will have a themed meeting titled "Red Hat ladies Candyland: A trick or a treat?" at Loopy's II, W1911 Flame Road, Sept. 18 with cocktails at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6. People will ordering off the menu.

Attendees are expected to wear full "red hat." Their Halloween "Scare if you dare" is scheduled Oct. 16 at Loopy's II. 

Donation drive to be held

MENOMINEE — Girls Day will team up with The Rainbow House to collect donations for the Rainbow House, such as non-perishable foods, paper products, household cleaners and the essentials. They will be at the Heritage Hearing Care Building, 705 10th Ave., Saturday from 9 to noon.

Fall CHAIN Reaction dates announced

MARINETTE — Fall CHAIN Reaction Week is set for Oct. 26-­Nov. 9. CHAIN Reaction week is for groups to get together and help the elderly in the community cleanup their yard for fall.

People may pick a date that works for their group.

Alateen support group to meet

MARINETTE — Alateen meets Tuesdays at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 917 Church St., at 7 p.m. and Wednesdays at the Stephenson Public Library, 1700 Hall Ave., at 4 p.m. 

Alateen is part of Al-Anon Family Groups. Alateen is a fellowship of teenagers, whose lives have been affected by someone else's drinking. This affects how young people are treated and it shapes their world. Alateen meetings are where teens can find support and understanding from people their own age who are going through similar difficulties.
