Local history teaching offered

MENOMINEE COUNTY — John Helfert is presenting "Life of the Menominee Indians Before the Coming of the White Man" Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Chappee-Webber Learning Center on River Road. People may bring a lunch as there will be a picnic after the presentation. This event will happen rain or shine. 

Story time returns to Peshtigo Library

PESHTIGO — Story time is returning to the Peshtigo Public Library Friday at 10:30 a.m. The story times consist of reading a couple of books and making a craft, for the children of ages 2 to 5.

Book Club will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Anyone is free to join and have coffee and participate in a discussion on books one has read recently.

Peshtigo Library is having a book signing by author Ann Dallman with her book "Cady and the Bear Necklace" Sept. 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Peshtigo Woman’s Club.

Peshtigo Library hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. People may contact Jessica at the Peshtigo Public Library with questions at 715-582-4905.

Family Fun Campout offered

MARINETTE — The City of Marinette is holding Family Fun Campout at Red Arrow Park Friday for $5 a person. People can sign up at the Community REC Center. There will be games, movies and arts and crafts.
