Veterans Service officer to hold hours

HERMANSVILLE — Menominee County Veterans Service Officer Mike Dellisse will hold office hours at the Legion hall Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Veterans or widows who need assistance, have claims, have questions about Agent Orange, headstones, grave markers; or need information about the Oscar Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain or the Michigan Trust Fund for Menominee County, should see Dellisse. This is a free service.

Quilting group to resume regular schedule 

MARINETTE — Our Savior's Lutheran quilters group will have the first meeting of their regular fall schedule Thursday. The regular schedule will be the first and third Thursdays of each month, as in the past. The group will meet at the church hall, 1600 University Drive, at 8 a.m. Volunteers are welcome.

The work, as in the past season, will include jobs for a variety of talents, sewing and non-sewing. The finished quilts are donated to local charities and the Lutheran World Relief. Donations of material are welcome.

Moose Lodge to host walleye fish fry

MARINETTE — The public is invited to the Marinette Moose Lodge Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. for a walleye fish fry. This is a free-will offering dinner, with a suggested donation of $12. Proceeds will be donated to the Community REC Center.
