'Water Rescue' to hold brat fundraiser

MENOMINEE — The Menominee Water Rescue is hosting a Brats for Breakfast event Thursday from 6 to 10 a.m. at the Menominee Marina-Boaters’ Lounge. The suggested donation price for one brat is $3 or two brats for $5.

There is delivery available for order of 10 or more within the Menominee and Marinette city limits. People may email preorders until Wednesday at 6 p.m. to menomineewaterrescue@yahoo.com.

This event is sponsored by the Menominee Water Rescue volunteers and proceeds will be used for training and equipment.

Mademoiselles to meet Aug. 19 

WALLACE — The Mademoiselles will meet Aug. 19 at Little Nugget Food & Spirits Golf Course, County Road 338, at 11 a.m. for social hour with lunch served at noon. Lunch this day will consist of beef stroganoff with salad, roll and dessert. Cost of this luncheon is $13. Reservations, as well as cancellations, are required. People may contact Wanda Carlson by Thursday at 906-424-4038 to make reservations.

After lunch, they will have games as well as door prizes. Guests and new members are always welcome.

Auxiliary holds meeting, plans parade

SILVER CLIFF — The Silver Cliff Fire and Auxiliary Rescue met Aug. 5 at the Silver Cliff Memorial Park. They finalized plans for the Saturday parade and picnic. Grand marshals for the parade are Peter and Mary Wagner.

The parade will have the following activities and food items: bucket raffles, children’s games, sawdust pile coin toss, paddle wheel, horseshoes, fire prevention safety training for kids and adults, party wagon raffle, booyah, corn on the cob, beer, brats, burgers, French fries, strawberry shortcake, walking tacos, nachos, “Silver Cliff Logo” clothing, music with Shari, homemade bakery, 50/50 raffles, dice shaking to win six-packs of beer and a free information booth available to attendees. At 5 p.m., the $1,000 raffle will be drawn along with other cash prizes.
