Flea market, breakfast to be held Saturday

MENOMINEE — A Flea Market and breakfast will be held Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 601 10th Ave., from 8 a.m. to noon. Most items will be sold indoors so inclement weather isn’t an issue. Monies raised benefit missions worldwide. Breakfast includes French toast bake, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.

Angler fishing clinic offered to kids

MARINETTE — The NPAA Future Angler fishing clinic will be held Friday at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the Menekaunee Harbor. This event is for children who want to learn how to fish and meet professional anglers. There will be prizes like a rod and reel or a  "Future Pro" t-Shirt will be given to the first 100 kids who attend the clinic. Parents can come along as well. The tournament weigh-in begins at 3 with the clinic to follow. This is a free event.

County Democratic party to meet 

STEPHENSON — The next meeting of the Menominee County Democratic Party will be held at the County Annex Building S904 U.S. 41, Tuesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. In addition to reports from each of the officers, they will host their second round-table discussion. This month's topic will concern the challenges of the current immigration system and how people might improve it. They welcome everybody's opinion. Doors will open at 6 and the public is cordially invited to attend.

Squares to hold dance, special meeting

MARINETTE — The Twin City Squares will hold a dance Tuesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Merryman School, 611 Elizabeth Ave. The caller will be Randy Tans. The food after the dance will be pie and ice cream. The lunch committee will furnish the ice cream. Members should bring their favorite pie or snacks to have during the dance.

Club members are reminded that dues for the 2019-2020 dance season are now due. There will be a special meeting after the dance. Club members are urged to attend.
