Spies Public Library to host flea market

MENOMINEE — The Friends of Spies Public Library will sponsor a flea market June 1 at 8 a.m. in the Spies Public Library Parking Lot, 940 1st St., Menominee. The Friends will once again be selling perennial plants (plant donations are appreciated), flea market items, books and etc. People may participate free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis for the available 10-by-10 parking spots. Participants will have to furnish their own tables, chairs and etc. The event is rain or shine. Flea market vendors must sign a release form before June 1 which can be obtained at the Spies Public Library.

Upcoming fishing tournaments available  

MARINETTE — The following fishing tournaments will be held in Marinette this spring and summer:

¦ May 28: Strike King/Lews Meet the PRO's Night at the Community REC Center from 6 to 7 p.m. The first 100 will receive a free hat.
