Free first aid training available 

MARINETTE — The Marinette Rescue Squad and the Marinette County Association for Home and Community Education are offering a free public first aid training session along with a question and answer session. It will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Marinette County Courthouse in the county board room on the third floor. No registration is needed. Attendees can bring a guest. 

'Squares' to hold dancer graduation

MARINETTE — The Twin City Squares will hold new dancer graduation during their regularly scheduled dance Sunday From 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Merryman School, 611 Elizabeth Ave. The caller will be Amanda Herdt. The supper after the dance is a Chinese-themed potluck. The lunch committee will provide dessert.

Guests are welcome at the dance. Anyone interested in learning to square dance is encouraged to come and watch.

Fox Valley Squares will host the March Club of the Month Dance Friday starting at 7:30 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial, Neenah, Wis.

Grief group to hold meeting

STEPHENSON — There will be a community grief group meeting Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Menominee County Library in Stephenson.

The group allows for a confidential environment that allows attendees the opportunity to be supported by others who understand the grief.

Marinette Food Pantry updates hours

MARINETTE — The St. Vincent de Paul District Food Pantry in Marinette has updated its pantry hours to every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The pantry will no longer be open Mondays in order to provide fresher produce on days that the pantry is open. Pantry clients who cannot visit the pantry during regular hours may contact the food pantry at 715-735-6956 to explore setting up a time that works better for their schedule.

The food pantry, 1619 Main St., Marinette, serves residents of the Marinette and Menominee area who earn less than 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. The food pantry accepts food donations and is particularly in need of canned soups, proteins and fruits. For questions, people may visit

Middle school to host bingo

STEPHENSON — The Stephenson Middle School Student Council will host a bingo night Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Stephenson High School. The entry fee is $2 which includes a bingo card and $1 for each additional card. Refreshments will be available and there will be raffle tickets available for purchase.
