Twenty-two Crivitz High School physical education students attended a cross-country ski field trip to the Governor Thompson State Park, and the Spring Rapids Cross Country Ski System located in the Peshtigo River State Forest Feb. 27. Students were first taught proper cross-country skiing techniques in the classroom setting and subsequently practiced the skills on district grounds. Students were then able to utilize and apply those techniques on a professionally groomed ski trail system.

The students also presented a thank you card to Governor Thompson State Park Manager Maggie Kailhofer of the Wisconsin DNR. The card, signed by all the cross country ski students, was to thank all Governor Thompson State Park staff for all their time and efforts in maintaining the parks.
