River Cities Community Pool (RCCP) received a $10,000 capacity grant from the Community-Wide Endowment held at the M&M Area Community Foundation.

RCCP will use this grant to support the operations during the closure of its facility because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant will help RCCP recover some monetary loss. The grant will also enable the facility to purchase proper PPE and necessary safety equipment to reopen and maintain the highest quality of safety for guests.

“In a time of such uncertainty, our small, community pool is overwhelmed by the generosity of the M&M Area Community Foundation, knowing that some of the stress of finances can be lifted now, we can turn our focus on safety measures and the health of our members,” said Kasey Eisch-Ermis, aquatic director.

People can view the RCCP’s Facebook page daily for live workouts conducted by Eisch-Ermis.

RCCP plans to reopen with many safety precautions by June 1.

People are asked to check its website, rivercitiespool.org, for details.

Grant funding is made available through the charitable contributions of local donors through endowments established and managed by the M&M Area Community Foundation.
