Thomas Pandolfi, an American pianist, will perform as a part the RCCA 2019/2020 season at Blesch Auditorium Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.

MENOMINEE — River Cities Concert Association will present Thomas Pandolfi “American Pianist Russian Romance and the Movies.” He will perform at Blesch Auditorium Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. This concert is sponsored by Akins Pianocraft and Rachel’s Piano Studio.

American pianist Thomas Pandolfi is an exciting virtuoso who is showered with superlatives by critics for his artistry and technique. His remarkably warm and communicative tone is shown in the emotion of whatever he plays. Highlights during the 2018-19 concert season include engagements with the North Charleston Pops, Symphony of the Americas, Tysons McLean Orchestra, Frederick Symphony, Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic and Reston Orchestra as well as a coast to coast recital tour. His international concerts have carried him across the globe to China and Europe, as well as a Canadian debut in British Columbia.

A graduate of The Juilliard School, Pandolfi earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees as a scholarship student. An outstanding cross-over artist, Pandolfi’s virtuoso transcriptions of the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Leonard Bernstein and Marvin Hamlisch, are in much demand. In 2006, he released his first CD, and since then has recorded 10 additional ones, including “Language of Infinity” (Chopin), “Gypsy Passages” (Liszt), “Into the Night with Gershwin,” and the Paderewski Piano Concerto recorded in the Czech Republic with The Moravian Philharmonic. His program will include: Rubenstein, Rachmaninov, The James Bond Fantasy in which Pandolfi gave the world premier performance in London, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and The Warsaw Concerto.
