MARINETTE — The Northwoods Quilters Club of the tri-county area had their monthly meeting Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at Pioneer Presbyterian Church, 1947 Riverside Ave., Marinette. A potluck meal was followed by a Make ‘n Take project provided by Pine Street Quilts of Marinette.

A meeting of the quilt show chairmen was held prior to the regular meeting. Items for the mini raffle, Boutique and Attic Treasures can be turned in to the proper chairman. Boutique items should be priced and labeled if people want them returned if they don’t sell. Return sold raffle ticket stubs and monies to either Linda Rich or Kathy Shepro. If someone wants more tickets, they may contact Rich. The quilt show is April 27 and 28.

The quilters’ next meeting is Monday at 9:30 a.m. The program will be “No Point Mariner’s Compass” presented by Barb Boettcher. This will be followed by lunch and Show ‘N’ Share. Those attending may bring “Scrap Galore Half Square Triangle” projects to show progress. In the afternoon, plans are to work on charity projects. The group welcomes new members to stay and get acquainted.

Northwoods Quilt Club is open to new members. Dues are $25 annually and they welcome members of all skill levels. They have a Facebook page called the “Marinette, WI-Menominee, MI Northwoods Quilters.” The club alternates morning and evening meetings to accommodate those with daytime jobs.
