Applications for an additional member representing Marinette County on the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College District Board of Trustees are now being accepted.

The appointments will be filled for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2020, and expiring June 30, 2023. Appointments to the Board will be made in accordance with the Appointment Committee’s Plan of Representation.

In the appointment process equal consideration is given to the general population distribution within the district as well as to the distribution of women and diverse populations on the board. Because of the distribution of diverse populations within the district, the NWTC Board of Trustees must include one minority representative.

All residents of a technical college district are eligible to serve as an additional member for that college.

Applications must submit in writing on forms that may be obtained from the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College District Office, 2740 West Mason Street, Green Bay, Wis., or by contacting Mary Jo Tilot, executive assistant, NWTC, at 920-498-5409 or maryjo.tilot@nwtc.edu. The application form is also posted to the NWTC website board page.

Candidates must submit at least two letters of reference supporting their nomination. All candidates must attend a public hearing of the District Board Appointment Committee at which his or her appointment to the District Board is discussed. Letters of reference are due by 4 p.m. March 2.

Applications will be accepted no later than Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The public hearing date has been established March 12 at  5 p.m.
