STEPHENSON — Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a nonprofit project of Samaritans Purse, who use gift-filled shoeboxes to give to children in need. Collection week for this operation is Nov. 18 to 25. People will pack their own shoebox and get a label (on brochures or find online), and choose the gender and age one wants to pack a shoebox for. They will collect toys, school supplies, hygiene products and accessories like socks, hats, gloves, sunglasses, flip flops, hair ties, hair clips and shoes. Then, when the shoebox is full, return it to any of the drop off locations by Nov. 22 or at the collection center, Fellowship Bible Church at W5639 County Road G12, Stephenson, during National Collection Week. Fellowship will be open two hours a day or one may call and make drop off arrangements at their convenience at 906-290-3413. People may get shoebox supplies at Menominee County Library, Kelly’s Alteration, Family Dollar in Stephenson, Carney Evangelical Free Church, Spies Public Library and Truth in Function. People may also drop off filled shoeboxes at Kelly’s Alteration, Carney Evangelical Free Church and Truth in Function.

If people can help provide these or other items, they may call Pat Brien at 715-856-5053 or Sally Scott at 715-856-5719.
