MARINETTE — Spring is a time for celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of students everywhere, but with the COVID-19 many college celebrations have been canceled, including Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Marinette Student Awards Ceremony.

However, the college still wishes to celebrate these noteworthy accomplishments inside and outside the classroom.

“Our students have so much to be proud of and we are grateful they are a part of the NWTC community,” said NWTC Marinette Campus Dean Jennifer Flatt. “We could not let this time pass without honoring their achievements.”

NWTC is honoring 12 students who demonstrated extraordinary leadership with the Outstanding Program Students and Leaders in Marinette Student Government Awards.

Outstanding Program Students and Leaders in Marinette Student Government award recipients include: Heidi Lemke, accounting; Emilee Pace, business management; Taylor Aubry, medical assistant; Meg Knutson, nursing; Tom Petersen, electromechanical; Brad Mayland, welding; Jeff Cornell, CNC/machining; Max Sullivan, CNC machining; Jacob Hull, Student Senate President; Kyle Durocher, Student Senate Vice President; Jillian Kusba, Student Senate Secretary; and Ryan Ravet, Student Senate Treasurer.
