MENOMINEE — The Menominee American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit 146 held its regular meeting at the Legion Post, 818 1st St., Oct. 8.

Girls State delegates for 2019, Emma Laastch and Emily Nowack, provided a presentation of their experiences at Michigan State University.

Judy Pier, Children and Youth chairman, reported donations of mittens, gloves, scarves, etc. may be placed on the “Giving Tree” or in totes available for those in need through November. Also, donations of snuggle blankets, books, coloring books and colors can be dropped off at the Post before Dec. 15 for Rainbow House which will include 11 families and 22 children for Christmas.

Jane Raygo, Wreaths Across America chairman, reported wreath orders are being accepted for veteran grave sites, and members may contact Raygo at 906-863-3086. The Wreaths Across America ceremony will be held Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. in the Veterans Memorial Section, Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.

■ Monday — Veterans Day Breakfast at Post 146

■ Nov. 12 — ALA meeting the Legion Post at 6:30 p.m.

■ Nov. 14 — Christmas Ball Raffle at the Post.

■ Nov. 20 — ALA holiday decorating at the Post at 8:30 a.m.

■ Nov. 23 — Winter Wonderland with Santa at the Post from 1 to 3 p.m.

■ Dec. 7 — Wreaths Across America ceremony, Riverside Cemetery, Menominee at 10 a.m.

■ Dec. 10 — ALA Christmas party; social hour 5 p.m. and dinner 6.
