MARINETTE — The Lord’s Diner is an ongoing evening meal program that is held every Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1600 University Drive. The Lord’s Diner serves a variety of hot meals and includes a food pantry. The volunteers design creative menus and prepare meals — green salads, main dishes, and desserts — all from scratch. Many guests return week after week, sitting at the same table, greeting volunteers and one another by name. Together, the group attempts to create a respite from the worries and struggles of daily life.

There are now six local sponsoring groups: Beaver American Lutheran, Porterfield Lutheran, St. Paul Episcopal Church, St. Joseph Conference (St. Mary Parish), the Christian Motorcycle Association and Our Savior’s Women’s Groups. The church welcomes any new group who would like to join in this opportunity. Volunteers and food donations are welcome.
