MENOMINEE — Nonprofit organizations in the Crivitz area have a new opportunity to receive funding from the M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) through the Crivitz Area Fund. This will be the first year of grant-making provided by this fund. The fund, held at the community foundation, is directed by members of the Crivitz Area Council which includes Bob Berndt, Rebecca Zillges, Lynelle Caine, Luke Deschane, Mike Dama, Renee Oastler and Ezra Gruszynski.

“I’m excited to be a part of this team. We have many great things happening in our community and the Crivitz Area Fund will support them,” said Renee Oastler.

In addition to accepting grant applications, efforts are underway to grow the fund in order to continue providing support to local organizations. Individuals and businesses interested in contributing to the fund may contact a Council member, or call MMACF Executive Director Paula Gruszynski at 906-864-3599.

According to Berndt, Crivitz Area Council Chair, “We are looking forward to partnering with area residents to grow this fund in order to provide money to support programs and projects which benefit all of us.”

Nonprofits, religious organizations, schools and government entities are invited to apply. Applications must be submitted through the foundation’s website, mmacf.org/grants, between March 16 to April 13. Grants will be awarded in June.
