The Stephenson High School class of 1949 held their 70-year reunion July 5 at Belgiumtown Restaurant in Stephenson. Classmates, pictured from left, are: Front row: Lorraine (Dombrowski) Johnson, Peggy (LaCombe) Zona and Evelyn (Wangerin) Winter; second row: Pat (Lemieux) Hollow, Helen (Saltz) Raboin, Willis Walcher, Louie Ferguson and Kenny Gronmark; third row: Warren Klitzki, Leo Sjoholm, Thaddeus Hillbruner, Bob Mathais, Kenny Krantz and Arnold “Bob” Johnson. They dedicated the reunion to fellow classmates Irene Chatlosh Marciniak, and entrepreneur in the food and restaurant business, and Peter Thoune, whose family provided the friends “big band dance music” entertainment prior, during and many years after their high school days.
