GREEN BAY, Wis. — UntitledTown, the book and author festival that welcomed Margaret Atwood and bused thousands of children to R.L. Stine — for free — returns.

The line-up includes:

■ April 25:  Michael Perry and the Long Beds Fundraiser at Tarlton Theater; doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the show at 7pm. Festival Kickoff with Storytelling and Song. New York Times Bestselling Author of Population 485, humorist, musician, and intermittent pig farmer.

■ April 26: Susan Orlean at the Brown County Central Library, 6:30 p.m. She is a journalist, author of The Library Book and The Orchid Thief and The New Yorker Staff Writer. Reese Witherspoon’s First 2019 Book Club Pick of the Year for The Library Book, current Number 2 U.S. bestseller.

■ April 27: William Kent Krueger at the Brown County Central Library, 10 a.m. Midwest based New York Times Bestselling Author of Ordinary Grace and the Cork O’Connor mystery series.

■ April 27: Jamie Ford at the KI Convention Center, noon. Author of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, a two-Year New York Times Bestseller and Best “Adult Fiction” Book at the 2010 Asian/Pacific American Awards for Literature. Ford’s current novel is Love and Other Consolation Prizes.

■ April 27: Nickolas Butler at the Brown County Central Library. 2 p.m. Wisconsin Based Author of Shotgun Lovesongs, The Hearts of Men, Little Faith and the Forthcoming Collection of Short Stories and The Chainsaw Soiree.

■ April 27: Andrea Gibson at Tarlton Theater, doors open at 5 p.m., the show is at 6. Gibson is a poet and activist, four-time Denver Grand Slam Champion. Gibson focuses on gender norms, politics, social reform and the struggles LGBTQ people face in today’s society.

■ April 27: Walter Mosley at the KI Convention Center, 7 p.m. Best-selling crime fiction novelist and Hollywood producer, author of Easy Rawlins Mysteries (Devil in a Blue Dress) and winner of PEN America’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Mosley’s current novel is John Woman.

■ April 27: Michael Moreci at St. Brendan’s Inn, Workshop and Craft Talk, time TBD. Midwest Based Comic Writer (DC, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and Roche Limit). Moreci is also a novelist, he is author of Black Star Renegades and We Are Mayhem. Moreci is also a writer for LucasFilm

■ April 28:  Rebecca Makkai at the Brown County Central Library, 2 p.m. Midwest based author of The Great Believers, winner of the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, winner of the Stonewall Book Awards, Barbara Gittings Literature Award for 2019, and a finalist for The 2018 National Book Award. Makkai was on the Best of 2018 Lists for Entertainment Weekly, NPR and New York Times.

■ DATES TBD: Available for appearances all weekend long: Joelle Charbonneau. Midwest Based YA New York Times Bestselling Author of The Testing Trilogy. Charbonneau is available for school visits, readings, teen workshops, craft talks and panels. Charbonneau was the YALSA Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers and her current novel is Eden Conquered. People may contact amy@untitledtown.org to book an appearance.

All headlining events (apart from the Michael Perry fundraiser, which requires a ticket) are free with the option to purchase preferred seating. Ticketing details will tentatively be available Feb. 25 on UntitledTown.org

Dates are subject to change. A formal schedule of over 100 events, including free writing workshops, readings, presentations and a book fair, is anticipated in March.

UntitledTown Book and Author Festival is one of 40 non-profit organizations participating in “Give BIG” Green Bay’s 24-hour fundraiser. All donations received Feb. 20 and 21 will be matched by the Green Bay Packers.
