Marinette resident elected to USTA board 

MARINETTE — Adrienne Lacy, assistant recreation director for the City of Marinette Recreation Department, was elected as the vice president of the board of directors for the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Wisconsin District. Lacy, as well as the Wisconsin district, want to engage more with recreational tennis players along with growing the game of tennis in Wisconsin. Lacy was nominated for her many years of previous work within the USTA.

The Wisconsin Tennis Association (WTA) is a nonprofit organization that is the governing body of all USTA tennis play in the Wisconsin District and has guided Wisconsin tennis activities for over 80 years. The WTA services over 200 member organizations and over 11,000 individual members. The Wisconsin District includes all counties in Wisconsin except portions of Northwestern Wisconsin. The WTA is one of the 13 districts of the USTA/Midwest Section.
