Businesses team up for ‘Focus on Energy’

MARINETTE — Prestige Auto Body and Towing reached out to Batteries Plus Bulbs, to ask about options for replacing outdated fluorescent lighting in its shop and office spaces. Batteries Plus Bulbs, a Focus on Energy trade ally contractor, let Prestige owner Mike Reek know about the program’s financial incentives for lighting upgrades.

Focus on Energy offered $1,032 in incentives to help offset Reek’s investment in hundreds of high-efficiency LED lamps, which provide better-quality lighting and will save the small business more than $1,200 annually in avoided energy costs.

Prestige Auto Body and Towing is an electric customer of WPS, one of the 107 Wisconsin utilities that partner in Focus on Energy. Residential, business and other customers of those partnering utilities are eligible for the energy expertise and financial incentives Focus on Energy provides.
