Patz Corporation in Pound announced the retirements of, from left: Joe Kwiatkowski of Crivitz, with over 42 years; Wes Jorgensen of Marinette, with over 43 years; Dan Rhodes of Amberg, with over 43 years; and Jim Maynard of Oconto, with over 42 years.

POUND — Patz Corporation recently celebrated four retirements at one time who have over 170 years of combined service at the company. 

Joe Kwiatkowski of Crivitz began employment with Patz in April of 1977 in the shipping department and has successfully worked in various positions within the company, before transferring to material handler in welding. His last day at Patz was Dec. 31, 2019, retiring over 42 years later. When asked about his retirement plans, Kwiatkowski said that he is really looking forward to doing a lot of fishing.

Wes Jorgensen of Marinette began employment with Patz in June of 1976 in the welding department and has successfully worked in various positions within the company, including coordinator and lead type positions, before becoming fixture technician in welding. His last day at Patz was Dec. 20, 2019, retiring over 43 years later. When asked about his retirement plans, Jorgensen said he was contemplating on not having to be somewhere at any given time, working on small projects in his garage, riding his motorcycle, traveling around the country, and working on a “honey do” list.

Dan Rhodes of Amberg began employment with Patz in August of 1976 in the fabrication department and has successfully worked in various positions within the company, including coordinator and lead type positions, before moving to the front office as a technical support rep. His last day at Patz was Dec. 27, 2019, retiring over 43 years later. When asked about his retirement plans, Rhodes said that he is looking forward to spending more time with his grandson.

Jim Maynard of Oconto began employment with Patz in September of 1977 in the paint department and has successfully worked in various lead type positions within the company before moving into the front office to become the purchasing manager. His last day at Patz was Dec. 31, 2019, retiring over 42 years later. When asked about his retirement plans, Maynard said that he is looking forward to the plans that he and his wife Cynde have made to do some traveling, do a lot of fishing and to expand their garden, as well as spending more time with family.

Cake and beverages were served in their honor, and employees gathered to celebrate. 

“We’re very thankful to have had Joe, Wes, Dan, and Jim with us all these years. We will miss them, and sincerely wish each the very best in the future. It was a special day, to be able to celebrate this momentous occasion together,” stated Patz.
