The first planning meeting for the 2020 local Restaurant Week will be March 24 at 2:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Menominee Marina Boater’s Lounge, 1000 1st St. Area restaurant owners, staffs and anyone interested are invited to attend.

The objective of the meeting is to review last year’s Restaurant Week, brainstorm ways to build on the success, and create a plan for another successful event in August. The meeting agenda will focus on recruiting more restaurants, creating a timeline for key dates and obtaining volunteers to work collaboratively

Pam Koller, co-owner and manager of Belgiumtown Restaurant for the past 18 years, was a participant in the inaugural Restaurant Week in 2019. “We really didn’t know what to expect in terms of traffic to the restaurant, but we were blown away at how well attended it was,” said Koller. “It brought a lot of new people to see the things we can do. We saw so many different faces that we hadn’t seen before. Since then, people who came during Restaurant Week have been back to try our menu again. It’s been constant with some people coming back each month since the event.”

The 2019 event was a success with the support of the Menominee Downtown Business Association and inVenture North.
