MENOMINEE — Atrium Post Acute Care of Menominee recently received a five-star overall rating from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify questionable areas. The system is comprised of three individual components as well as the overall rating.

The facility was also rated Five-Stars in Quality Measures. The Quality Measure (QM) rating has information on 17 different physical and clinical measures for nursing home residents. The QMs offer information on how well nursing homes are caring for their residents’ physical and clinical needs.

“Our staff has worked diligently over the past several years providing exceptional patient care to our residents, which directly led us to our five-star rating” said Director of Nursing Christy Miller. “The recognition from CMS only proves what I already knew about our team.”

Administrator Kelley Walerski echoed Miller’s sentiments. “I am incredibly proud to work with such a caring and compassionate group of people and elated that we have been recognized for the care and services we provide to our residents by the CMS Five-Star rating.”
