POWERS — The Carney-Nadeau volleyball team had a makeup match against North Central on Wednesday and the Wolves went home with a 3-0 victory.

Carney-Nadeau won all three sets easily by scores of 25-9, 25-11 and 25-14.

“We played great defense and served well again tonight,” Carney-Nadeau coach Steve Kedsch said.

The Wolves got a chance to switch up the line-up in the match which led to Layla Blahnik-Thoune serving for eight aces.

“We switched up the serving a little tonight,” Kedsch said. “Our main servers are serving at an 86 percent or better rate this year so I wanted to give some other girls a chance at serving. Layla did a great job as our lead server tonight.”

In addition to her eight aces, Blahnik-Thoune added seven digs, three assists and two kills. Talisha McCollough led the team with 14 assists; Alanis Harris had a team-high 11 digs; Taylor Kedsch had eight kills and five digs; and Lianna Blahnik chipped-in six kills.

Carney-Nadeau has a long trip this weekend to Inland Lake for a tournament on Saturday.

“We’re going to see some good competition this weekend,” Kedsch said. “Hopefully we can play well and get challenged. It’ll be good for us going into the last couple weeks of the season.”
