DENMARK, Wis. — The Marinette girls golf team is on a roll as the Marines won their second tournament in as many days Tuesday at Twin Oaks Golf Course in Denmark.  

Kailyn Chenier took home medalist honors for the tournament with her 46, beating out Waupaca’s Cade Ash by one stroke. 

Auburn Waloway continued her solid play with a 49, good for fourth place behind Chenier, Ash and Denmark’s Caitlyn Duckart (48). 

Cerina Grawey and Dalanie Langlois each came in with a 54 to give Marinette its winning score of a 203, six shots ahead of second place Denmark. Lindsey Wingender rounded out the Marines with her 61. 

“We’re starting to get a little swagger in us, it’s been fun,” Marinette coach Charlie Siem said.

Hannah Chenier led the Marinette JV’s with her round of 57, Ashley Laprise shot a 58, Sierra Niemi came in with a 64, Rachel Gamelin scored a 71 and Jenna Margetta closed out the scoring for the JV’s with a 72. 

Marinette has a day off and then its back to the course on Thursday for a home match against Freedom and Wrightstown at Riverside Golf Club.
