Moose Lodge holding perch fry today
MARINETTE — The Marinette Moose Lodge is holding an open perch fry today, from 5-7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to enjoy perch caught by local commercial fishermen in the waters of Green Bay. All profits from the dinner will be donated to the Salvation Army. Cost is $13.95 per plate or $22.75 for a double order, or people with a lighter appetite may order a smaller portion for $11.50 per plate.
Plans underway for Waterfront Festival
MENOMINEE — Planning for the 2017 Waterfront Festival is underway.
The festival will again be held the first weekend in August, and will run Aug. 3-6.
Officials said 80 to 90 percent of the work at the festival is done by volunteers.
Those interested in being a part of the annual event are being sought. An organizational meeting will be held next Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. Any organization or individual interested in being a part of the festival are welcomed and encouraged to attend this meeting.
