MENOMINEE COUNTY SHERIFF

¦ A deputy responded to a residence in Menominee Township for a suspicious situation at 9:01 a.m. Dec. 7. The caller stated he felt someone had broken into his home while he was gone and went through some of his personal belongings. An investigation was conducted.

¦ Souysane Sithamat, 28, of Brimley was arrested on a warrant in Harris Township at 2:15 p.m. Dec. 8. The warrant was for failure to appear for pretrial out of Menominee District Court. Sithamat was transported to Menominee County Jail.

¦ A 30-year-old Gladstone man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 3:35 p.m. Dec. 8 in Nadeau Township. The Gladstone man was transported to Menominee County Jail.

¦ Deputies received a complaint regarding an assault that may have happened at 4:17 p.m. Dec. 8 in Nadeau Township. After further investigation it was found that the incident never took place. The investigation was closed.

¦ Benjamin Barstow, 40, of Menominee was arrested for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana, no driver's license and possession of open intoxicants at 8:20 p.m. Dec. 8 in Daggett Township. Barstow was transported to Menominee County Jail.

¦ Valerie Wilkey, 38, of Wilson was arrested for assault and battery at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 10 at a business in Nadeau Township. Wilkey was transported to the Menominee County Sheriff's Department.

¦ Christopher Behnke, 45, of Wallace was involved in a traffic accident at 1:13 p.m. Dec. 10 in Mellen Township. After going over a bump in the roadway, Behnke's trailer disconnected and struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported.

¦ Robert Crawford, 42, of Menominee was arrested for assault and battery at 8:18 p.m. Dec. 10 in Mellen Township. Crawford had left the scene before a deputy arrived, but was located in the City of Menominee. Crawford was transported to Menominee County Jail.

¦ Raymond Krueger, 54, of Wallace, lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center line causing Natalie Anderson's (age 36) vehicle to run off the roadway at 8:44 p.m. Dec. 11 in Menominee Township. While avoiding Krueger, Anderson ran into a ditch and struck a mailbox causing significant damage to her vehicle. No injuries were reported.

¦ A deputy was contacted by a 47-year-old Menominee man at 10:49 a.m. Dec. 11 in the City of Menominee in reference to an assault that had occurred the night before. A statement was taken and since the incident had already been investigated the night before, no further action was taken.

¦ Melissa Metzger, 33, of Wilson was arrested on a warrant at 1:50 p.m. Dec. 11 in Stephenson Township. The warrant was for failure to appear for pretrial out of Menominee District Court. Metzger was transported to Menominee County Jail.

¦ Margaret Kelbach, 43, of Stephenson was involved in a two-vehicle traffic accident at 2:52 p.m. Dec. 11 in the City of Stephenson. She was backing her vehicle out of a parking space and didn't see the oncoming vehicle driven by James Bastien, 74, of Stephenson. Due to road conditions Bastien was unable to avoid hitting Kelbach. No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained minor damage.

¦ A deputy was contacted by Spalding Township and requested assistance with issuance of verbal warnings to three Spalding Township residents for ordinance violations at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 12. The verbal warnings were given and a report was filed.

¦ A deputy was dispatched to an address in Menominee Township for a report of a breaking and entering at 11:40 a.m. Dec. 12. Upon arriving the complainant stated he had the break in on video and would like to prosecute the suspect. An investigation was conducted and the incident was sent to the prosecutor's office for possible charges.

¦ A 29-year-old Wilson woman was arrested on a warrant in Harris Township at 2:46 p.m. Dec. 12. The warrant was for failure to appear for a probation violation out of Menominee District Court. The woman was transported to Menominee County Jail.

¦ A deputy responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 13 in the Village of Powers. Christa Hughes, 31, of Escanaba, backed her car out of a parking space and noticed the car next to her backing out at the same time. She waited for the other vehicle, driven by Stephen Williams, 65, of Powers to back out but he didn't see her and backed into her. No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained minor damage.

¦ A deputy responded to a one vehicle property damage accident at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 13 in Nadeau Township. Jonathan Erickson, 33, was driving a feed truck when making a turn the truck went into the ditch and the grain bin detached from the truck. A crane had to remove the grain bin from the ditch. No injuries were reported.

¦ Deputies were advised of a dog bite complaint that occurred earlier in the city of Stephenson at 7:31 p.m. Dec. 13. The victim had sought medical treatment for her minor injuries. The owner of the dog was contacted and an investigation was conducted.

¦ A 42-year-old Hermansville woman was arrested for no driver's license at 5:02 p.m. Dec. 14 in Meyer Township. She was given a court date and time to appear before Menominee District Court and released.

¦ A deputy was dispatched to an assault complaint in Menominee Township at 8:51 p.m. Dec. 14. The caller stated the male subject at the residence was out of control and yelling at them. He also attempted to take the phone away from her when she tried to call 911. An investigation was conducted and the male subject, Thomas Fletcher, 19, of Menominee was arrested on two counts of assault and interfering with a 911 call. Fletcher was transported to the Menominee County Jail.

¦ A deputy responded to a one-vehicle property damage accident at 9 p.m. Dec. 15 in Lake Township. Johnny Vretenar, 39, of Wallace was driving on a county road when he lost control of his vehicle, went into the ditch and struck some trees. No injuries were reported but the vehicle sustained disabling damage.

¦ Derek A. LaBombard was arrested for disorderly conduct and domestic violence-related battery following a disturbance at an area business at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. 

¦ Dylan J. Sweeney was arrested for domestic violence-related disorderly conduct at 2:15 a.m. Sunday at 1163 W. Hosmer St. 

¦ Nokomis S. Thunder was arrested at 1:18 a.m. Sunday at Bay Area Medical Center, 3100 Shore Drive, for disorderly conduct following a disturbance. 

¦ Louis M. Hansen was cited for disorderly conduct and battery following a disturbance at 3 p.m. Sunday at 1827 Marinette Ave. 

¦ Quentin R. Lindholm was arrested on a Manitowoc County warrant at 1:37 a.m. Sunday on the 1700 block of Main Street. 

¦ Eric A. Moreno was arrested on a municipal Marinette warrant at 7:40 a.m. Sunday on Stephenson Island.
