¦ A deputy responded to a residence in Daggett Township for a report of an ongoing trespass situation 8:36 a.m. Oct. 30. The neighbor was putting items on the caller’s property and the caller wanted the property removed or to press charges. The neighbor was given a reasonable amount of time to remove his items and the case was closed. 

¦ A deputy was dispatched to a residence in Florence Township for a breaking and entering report 1:28 p.m. Oct. 30. The caller stated she came to her residence to check on it and found several things missing from inside as well as outside. An investigation is ongoing. 

¦ Deputies, along with a state trooper, were dispatched to a residence in the City of Stephenson for an assault that was in progress 4:12 p.m. Oct. 30. Richard Smith, 43, Menominee, was arrested for assault and battery. 

¦ A deputy responded to a report of two individuals arguing in the road 4:16 p.m. in Meyer Township. Upon arriving at the scene, it was found that nothing criminal had taken place. However, Melissa Paquin, 38, Hermansville, did have a warrant for a failure to keep payment agreements and was arrested. She made bond and was later released. 

¦ A deputy contacted a woman in Spalding Township 11:49 a.m. Nov. 1 in reference to some harassing messages she had reported. She said someone had been sending messages to other people and pretending to be her. She said the phone number these messages were coming from is not her own and she has no idea who is sending them. An investigation was conducted but no evidence was found. 

¦A deputy was dispatched to a Nadeau Township business 11:23 a.m. Nov. 2 for a shoplifting report. The caller stated that he had been informed that a student was shoplifting from the store, which he verified using security camera footage. The student had been apprehended and given court information to appear in Family Court of Menominee.
