¦ A deputy responded to a semi versus viaduct accident at 12:13 p.m. Oct. 16 in Spalding Township. The railroad was contacted and advised to inspect the damage to the bridge when an excavator arm from the trailer of the truck caused minor damage to a steep beam. 

¦ A deputy responded to a residence in the City of Stephenson for a family problem complaint at 10:06 p.m. Oct. 16. The caller stated her juvenile son left the residence without permission. The individual was returned home a short time later and the incident is being reviewed by the Family Court Division of Menominee. 

¦ Deputies arrested a 26-year-old Stephenson woman on two warrants in Daggett Township at 6:57 p.m. Oct. 18. The first warrant was from Menominee County Circuit Court for failure to appear for show cause. The second warrant was from Marquette County District Court for failure to appear for show cause. The woman was transported to Menominee County Jail. 

¦ A deputy investigated a minor in possession charge in the City of Menominee at 10:20 a.m. Oct. 19. The deputy later issued a citation for Youth Tobacco Act — possession by a juvenile male. The report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office and Menominee County Family Court for review. 

¦ A deputy was advised to contact a subject in Daggett Township for a report of a malicious destruction of property complaint at 3:59 p.m. Oct. 19. Upon further investigation, it was found that the suspect in the property damage complaint also wanted to file an assault complaint in regards to the same incident. After an investigation was conducted all parties chose to drop all charges. The incident was closed. 

¦ A deputy responded to an address in Nadeau Township for a report of a possible shipping scam at 8:45 a.m. Oct. 20. The caller stated she accepted a job online to receive packages, do a report and inspect them and then re-ship them to another address. After shipping a few packages she felt as though this was not a legitimate business and contacted law enforcement. An investigation is being conducted into the matter. 

¦ A deputy responded to a residence in Menominee Township for a report of a larceny of license plates at 11:39 a.m. Oct 20. The caller stated he sold a vehicle and removed the license plates before the vehicle was picked up. The caller stated he later received a call from a law enforcement agency in Wisconsin advising that his vehicle was involved in an accident. The caller believes the suspect stole the license plates from his residence before he left with the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing. 

¦ Deputies, along with state police were called to a residence in Menominee Township for a disturbance involving a gun at 3:48 p.m. Oct. 20. The caller stated her son had a gun and had been drinking. She advised she was concerned for their safety as well as her son’s. The suspect was later taken into custody without incident.

¦ Deputies responded to 10 vehicles versus animal complaints and the K-9s were called for assistance three times.
