¦ A male subject made contact with a deputy in reference to a contractor fraud complaint at 2:24 p.m., Oct. 25 in Daggett Township. The caller stated he gave a contractor a large amount of money, but had not received any services and was now unable to contact the contractor. An investigation was conducted and is ongoing.

¦ Deputies responded to a residence in Spalding Township for a report of an assault that had occurred at 8:52 p.m. Oct. 25. The caller stated he was assaulted by a female suspect, who had already left the premises.

¦ A deputy responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident at 1:40 p.m. Oct. 26 on M-35 in Cedarville Township. A vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Kaukauna, Wis., man was traveling north when he lost control and ran off the road, causing the vehicle to roll over. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 

¦ A deputy responded to a residence at 12:27 a.m. Oct. 27 in Spalding Township for a report of a hit-and-run accident that had occurred in a public parking lot. 

¦ A deputy responded to a residence in Spalding Township for a larceny report at 1:10 p.m. Oct. 27. The caller stated he had a large amount of brush stolen from his yard the prior night. 

¦ A deputy received a complaint of an assault at 2 p.m. Oct. 27 which had occurred a couple of weeks prior at a residence in Meyer Township. An investigation was conducted and sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

¦ John Myers, 59, Gladstone, Mich., was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Oct. 27 in Harris Township for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana. 

¦ A deputy responded to a residence in Daggett Township at 10:07 a.m. Oct. 29 for a report of larceny. The caller stated that someone had stole something out of his yard and gave a description of the suspect.

¦ A deputy responded to a residence in Mellen Township at 12:16 p.m. Oct. 29 for a report of malicious destruction of property. The caller stated he has been having trouble with the garbage pick-up services he uses and has requested that they no longer turn around in his drive way because it causes damage. The company agreed to fix the damage and the incident was closed.
