OCONTO — The Oconto County Sheriff’s Department has released the names of the victims in a fire Tuesday morning in the Town of Lena.

The victims from the fatal structure fire have been identified as Dennis Fry, 47, and his wife, Karen Fry, 48. The investigation continues and more information will be released as it becomes available, according to the sheriff’s department.

At approximately 3:25 a.m. Tuesday, the Lena Fire Department, Coleman Ambulance and Oconto County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Beschta Lane, Town of Lena, for a reported structure fire in a manufactured home.

The Lena Fire Department arrived on scene and advised that the home was engulfed in flames. It was believed that the occupants were at home and had not escaped the fire. During extinguishment, firefighters located a body immediately adjacent the structure and later found a body inside the structure.

Fire officials have ruled the fire suspicious and the investigation continues. The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, the State Fire Marshall, Wisconsin Department of Justice, the Oconto County Fire Task Force, and the Oconto County Medical Examiner’s Office are conducting the investigation.
