Virginia E. Mansfield, 88, of Porterfield, was called by God from this world to her eternal Home on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Virginia was born on April 10, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wis. to the late Reginald and Ilma (Schmidt) Rich.
Virginia moved with her parents at age of 5 to the town of Grover and lived there until she married Carlos L. Mansfield on May 15, 1943. They were married for 40 years when Carlos L. Mansfield passed away with a serious illness on October 2, 1984. She farmed and worked out for Coleman Products Company from 1979 to 1990, when she retired. She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beaver, Wis. She is survived by one son, Donald Mansfield of Porterfield; two grandsons: David (Sue) Mansfield and Larry (Julie) Mansfield; three great-grandchildren: Jessica (Jason) Sarmiento, Kristopher and Morgan Mansfield; two brothers: Benjamin (Cel) Rich of Marinette and Richard (Pat) Rich of Peshtigo; daughter-in-law, Donna Mansfield of Athelstane; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Rich of Peshtigo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Wayne Mansfield; two brothers: Gilbert and Clarence Rich; and one sister, Elva Comins.
  Relatives and friends may call at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hwy. 64 and 3rd Rd., town of Beaver from 10 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of funeral services at Noon. Rev. Mark Hannemann will officiate.
Burial in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Marinette.
