Thomas Joseph Hannon, Sr., 77, of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, at his home. He was born on February 21, 1936, in Menominee to the late Edwin and Mary (Adams) Hannon.
Thomas served his country proudly in the United States Marines Corps during the Korean War. After the military he came home and worked for 26 years at the Menominee Area Public Schools in the maintenance department. Thomas is a past member of the American Legion and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Thomas is survived by one son, Thomas (Mary Johnson) Hannon Jr. of Marinette, Wis.; four daughters: Carlene Hannon of Rhinelander, Wis., Tina (Randy) Gross of Green Bay, Wis., Della (Shane) Foley of Carbondale, Mich., and Ardis (Joe) Lerret of Menominee, Mich.; one brother, Bill Plautz of Marinette, Wis.; one sister, Phillis Fifarek of Menominee, Mich.; and many grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Elaine and Shirley; and two brothers: Harold and John.
The Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family. Per Thomas's wishes there will not be any services.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
