Terry W. Taylor, 58, of Marinette, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. He was born on July 23, 1955, to Russell and Mazzie (Singley) Taylor in Gettysburg, Pa.
They moved to Florida when he was a child and he grew up there. He met his former wife, Peggy Knutson and moved to Marinette in 1982. He had worked for Multerer Construction, Witt Ford, owned and operated Taylor Rod and Custom, and was working at Marinette Marine until his illness. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Local Boilermakers Union #696. Terry enjoyed restoring old cars and taking them to classic car shows where he won numerous trophies for best in show. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, NASCAR, spending time outdoors with his family on his land, and loved spending time with his grandbabies. He was always willing to help others.
Terry is survived by three daughters: Kelly Collazo of Palm Coast, Fla., Amber (son-in-law, Bill) McQueen, and Jennifer Taylor, both of Marinette; his mother, Mazzie Taylor; three sisters: Julie, Sandy, and Suzy; three grandchildren: Cameron, Brendon, and Lola McQueen, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell.
Friends may call at the Thielen Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. with Rev. James Wendt officiating.
