Sharon F. McPherson, of Menominee, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at home. She was born on April 14, 1943, to the late Frank and Faye (Pettey) Szymik in Menominee.
Sharon graduated from Menominee High School in 1961. On September 19, 1964, Sharon married Ronald "Butch" McPherson at First Presbyterian Church in Menominee; he preceded her in death on May 3, 2009. Before she had children, she had worked as a clerk at the Red Owl and later as an Administrative Assistant for over 20 years at Northern Coatings and Chemical. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and the women's club. Sharon enjoyed trips to the casino, especially with her husband to Las Vegas. She also enjoyed her time cleaning her home, being a hunter's widow, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by two sons: Mark McPherson of Menominee and Scott (Christine) McPherson of DePere; a daughter, Christina (Steve) Reek of Marinette; six grandchildren: Alyssa, Sabin, Amanda, Adam, Sarah and Ian; two great-grandchildren: Ryder and Reese; and two brothers: Steven and William Szymik. In addition to her parents and husband, Butch, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy.
Friends may call at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23rd from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m.
Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
