Robert L. Burtts, 56, of Menominee, Mich., passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at home with his family by his side after a long battle of MS. He was born January 6, 1957, in Spokane, Wash. to the late Lawrence and Joyce (Westbrook) Burtts.
Bob graduated from Menominee High School and in 1978 he married Carrie Cairns in Menominee, Mich. He served his country proudly in the United States Army, then he returned home to Menominee and worked at Silvan Industries as a sandblaster before his illness couldn't let him work anymore. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
 Bob is survived by his wife, Carrie of 36 years; one daughter, Becky (Nick Lesperance) Burtts of Menominee, Mich.; two sons: Robert (Heather Kons) Burtts Jr., and Jason Beattie, both of Menominee, Mich.; five grandchildren: Domanic, Mikey, Mercedes, Joseph, Ethan and one on the way, Marissa. He is further survived by two sisters: Sharron (David) Baxter of Menominee, Mich. and Cindy Crissman of Marinette, Wis.; two brothers: Terry Burtts of Green Bay, Wis., Randy Burtts of Crivitz, Wis. and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Scotty, and one brother, Todd.
  A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Robert's House 917 12th Ave. Menominee, Mich.
