Robert K. Kruhmin, 84, of Stephenson, Mich., passed away peacefully with family at his side at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Bob was born to the late Robert and Natalie (Silin) Kruhmin on October 5, 1928 in Longrie, Mich.
Bob spent his life on the family farm raising a herd of children and handfuls of dairy cattle. Bob was a well known local historian who loved to share his knowledge with anyone he met. He loved reading, watching the Green Bay Packers, family gatherings and picnics, running his saw mill, mowing his own lawn (and then fields), and spending time with his grandchildren, making play dough pigs and whittling. Bob also enjoyed all the activities at the Longrie School and travels shared with longtime friend Tom Ahrens.
Bob is survived by sons: Jeff (Debbie) and Kyle; daughters: Heidi Filibeck, Nancy Kruhmin, Cindy (Gary) Ives, Suzie Kruhmin, Val (Mike) Pollard, Linda Kruhmin and Eileen (Lon) Harrand; grandchildren: Mason, Mitchell, Cassie, Trina, Jacob, Olivia, Samantha, Matthew, Tanya, Eric, Rob, Angela, Jeremy, Leah, Natalie and Jessie; and great-grandchildren: Finn, Aubrey, Alex and Isaac. He is further survived by his sister-in-law: Dorothy Kruhmin along with many nieces nephews and their families. Bob was preceded in death by the mother of their children, Marlene; daughter, Amy Kruhmin; grandson, Daniel; son-in-law, Steve; brother, Rudy and sisters: Selma and Mildred.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013, after 4 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 6 p.m. Pastor Ben Fox officiating.
Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery.
