Richard B. Burns, 85, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2018, at The Meadows of Fond du Lac with his family by his side. He was born on Jan. 22, 1933, in Marinette, Wis., to George and Alice (O’Clair) Burns. 
     On Nov. 11, 1960, he married the love of his life, Marie, and they were blessed with 57 years of marriage. Richard worked at Goodfellows, Amvets Club, EagleStar and Lloyd Manufacturing, he also enjoyed being a bartender. In his leisure time, he enjoyed camping with his family, (having spent over 20 years doing so at the Moose Lodge), working in his garden, which was his pride and joy, and monthly trips to the casino. Richard was a Korean War veteran having served in the Army and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; three sons: Tim and George “Bud” (Bonita) Burns of Oshkosh, and Scott Burns of Manistique, Mich.; one brother, Bill; two sisters: Marge Ahearn and Barbara Larson; 10 grandchildren: Jacob, Bryan, Christopher, Matt, Mike, Brett, Spencer, Kyle, Brooke and Jaclyn; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Carol Rabideau, Lorraine (Vic) Hatcher and Marge Burns; and one brother-in-law, Tom Petersen.
Per Richard’s wishes there will only be a private family service. 
Entombment   will be at the Forest Home Mausoleum in Marinette.
