Randall "Randy" C. Vieth

Randall "Randy" C. Vieth, 68, of Beloit, died Friday, April 18, 2014, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 5, 1945, in Marinette, Wis., the son of Donald and Verna (Gordon) Vieth.
Randy graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1964. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam, where he was a River Raider on the Mekong Delta in 1967. He married Cheryl L. "Sherry" Davis on March 1, 1969, in St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Janesville. Randy was employed for over 40 years at Warner Electric, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Beloit Rifle Club and a Lifetime member of the NRA. Randy loved being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting.
Randy is survived by his wife, Cheryl; a son, Zachary (Amanda Helms) Vieth of Seattle, Wash.; his mother, Verna Vieth of Beloit; a sister, Robin (Steve) Vieth Austin of Beloit; brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents: Dave and Bertha Gordon and Edward and Martha Vieth, all of Marinette.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, Janesville, with full military honors to follow.
