Ralph E. Peterson, 92, of Marinette, Wis., passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at Bay Area Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1926, in Menominee, Mich., the son of B. Emil and Edith (nee Carlson) Peterson. 
   Ralph was a graduate of Menominee High School, Class of 1944 and a 1954 graduate of Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis. A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Navy Air Corps. He married the former Joan Sullivan on Oct. 7, 1950, in Menominee. Ralph first worked as Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for Signal Electric Division of King Seeley Corp. and later as Purchasing Manager for The Ansul Company of Marinette. He retired in 1987 after many years as a Circuit Instructor of Management and Supervisory courses for the State of Wisconsin VTAE Consortium of Madison and the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin. Active in the community, Ralph was a life member of both the Marinette and Menominee Historical Societies, served on the Boards of Directors for both organization and as president of the Marinette Society. He was also a member of Marinette Elks Lodge 1313, the VFW, the Model T Club and Pioneer Presbyterian Church.
Ralph is survived by a brother, Curtis Peterson (wife, Lu) of White Bear Lake, Minn.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend and helper, Gail Crissinger and family. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Edith Peterson; his wife, Joan Sullivan Peterson; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Matt and Florence J. Sullivan; and a sister, Lucille Peterson.
Friends may call at Pioneer Presbyterian Church, 1947 Riverside Ave., in Marinette, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jon Nelson officiating. 
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ralph’s name to the charity of your choice are preferred.
