Pearl Kunick, 96, died Saturday, October 12, 2013. She was born November 14, 1916, to the late Arthur and Rose (Smith) Thurow.
Pearl married Walter Kunick on November 14, 1939, in Marinette. Walter preceded her in death on November 19, 1965. Pearl and Walter owned the Kunick Grocery Store for many years. She was also a cook at Schloegel's and the Luther Home.
Pearl is survived by her children: Joyce (David) Collier, Ruth Lindsay, Russell (Chris) Kunick and W. Craig (Debra) Kunick; sisters: Evelyn Story and Doris Seefeldt; a brother, Arthur (Joan) Thurow, Jr.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; great-granddaughter, Amanda Whitton; son-in-law, Mike Lindsay; and sisters: Verona Prestine Meunier and Beatrice Russell Schufeldt.
Friends may call at Peace United Church of Christ, Elizabeth Ave. at 10th St., in Marinette, from noon until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with the Rev. William Clyma officiating.
