Patricia J. (Trish) Waschbisch

Patricia J. (Trish) Waschbisch, 45, of Peshtigo passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Trish, the daughter of Howard and Patricia (Hornak) Skarban, was born March 19, 1968 in Milwaukee.
Trish was a 1986 graduate of Coleman High School. Trish served in the United States Army for a period of one year. She then attended college and received a degree to become a Paralegal. She was a loving mother of two children: Justin Bunker and Alexis Waschbisch, both of Peshtigo, Wis. Trish had her own professional process serving business that she did part- time from her home. Trish's passions were raising her children and also working at the Rainbow House Domestic Abuse Agency as the Adult-Legal Advocate since December, 2001 and Interim Director since May, 2011. Trish was responsible for grant reporting, grant writing, agency speaking engagements and the daily operations of the shelter. Trish was active in arranging our annual Harley fundraiser, which continues to be our biggest event. Trish was a trained presenter for the Wisconsin Coalition against Domestic Violence Restraining Order Trainings since 2005. Trish was a member of the Marinette County Elder Abuse I-Team, Menominee County Community Collaborative Board, Menominee County Housing Network Continuum of Care, Marinette and Oconto Counties Continuum of Care, Marinette County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault CCR Team. She had recently received training to become an Expert Witness for the State of Wisconsin. She also received an agency award for the collaborated efforts of our agency and Marinette Sheriff Department from VINE LINK. In December of 2012, Trish received an award to honor her as a person making a difference in Marinette County for her work with Victims of Domestic Violence. As a friend and coworker at our agency, our shelter family and personal families became one. Some of our fondest memories of Trish were here love and devotion to her children and dog, Gizmo, her love to travel, riding Harleys, shooting pool and spending time outside in the sun.
Surviving are two children; Justin Bunker and Alexis
Waschbisch, both of Peshtigo, Wis.; her parents, Howard and Patricia Skarban of Coleman; one brother, John Skarban of Lena; her grandmother, Marge Hornak of Warrens, Wis.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Wilma Skarban; and maternal grandfather, John Hornak.
Relatives and friends may call at Rhodes-Charapta Funeral Home, 235 E. Main St., Coleman, today, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 4 p.m. with Fr. Robert Karuhn officiating.
Burial in the Town of Brazeau Cemetery, Klondike.
The Coleman American Legion and VFW will conduct military rites at graveside.
