Mildred “Millie” M. Renier, 93, Faithorn, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. She was born in Iron Mountain on August 18, 1924, daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth “Bessie” Gaede.
On April 17, 1948, Millie married Orville Renier in Iron Mountain and on October 1, 1955, they were remarried at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Faithorn. They met between the milk house and the road on her parent’s farm. They were married for over 68 years and hadn’t missed a kiss good morning or goodnight since their wedding until Orville preceded her in death last November.           Millie’s door was always open. Her kitchen was full of love, laughter, and generosity. You were met with a kind smile and warm hug. You were treated to coffee and fresh-baked goodies. Stories and tales filled the air. Her genuine goodness made everyone feel welcome. Millie’s family is at peace knowing that she is smiling in heaven with her loving husband.  Millie was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Spalding.
Millie is survived by her loving daughter, Dorothy “Dottie” (Rose Barke) Renier; brothers-in-law: Clifford Renier Sr. and Justin Renier; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; and their five unborn children.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from noon to 2 p.m. (CST) at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at church on Thursday at 2 p.m. (CST) with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating.
Burial will be in Faithorn Cemetery. A meal will follow the burial at the Faithorn Township Hall.
The Renier family would like to extend a special thank you to Millie’s nieces, nephews and their spouses whom she loved as her own. Please visit to send online condolences to her family.
