Michael John Brooks, 75, died peacefully at his home in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, March 10, 2017. He was born in Green Bay on February 12, 1942.
     Michael grew up in the North Woods of Wisconsin and moved to Nashville in 1973. He wore many hats in his life: Air Force mechanic, truck driver, helicopter pilot, and private detective. He was a trusted and dependable friend. He loved his pets like family and dreamed of one day returning to the farm of his youth.
     Michael is survived by his loving wife, Carol; son, Ken Brooks of Memphis, Tenn.; daughters: Cindy Yeager (Art Yeager) of Landstuhl, Germany, and Kim Brooks (Rusty Wolfe) of Wausaukee; five grandchildren; mother, Bonnie Jean Brooks of Manitowoc; sister, Donna (Gary) Anderson of Dunbar; brother, James Brooks of Manitowoc; and many life-long friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Brooks.
     A celebration of his life was held in Nashville on Monday, March 13.
     A memorial will be held in Twin Bridge, Wisconsin in May.
